The highest Rolex boutique in the world
In June 2026 Bucherer opened the highest Rolex boutique in the world at the summit of the Titlis: 3,020 metres up, reached by a rack railway, two cable cars and the first rotating gondola in the world. It occupies the sixth floor of the Titlis Tower, a 1980s telecommunications pylon entirely reworked by the architects Herzog & de Meuron (Tate Modern, Allianz Arena). Across 200 square metres, floor-to-ceiling glass onto the Alpine glaciers, American walnut panelling, Verde Alpi marble, smoked oak flooring and green velvet dress the setting. A deliberate symbol for a brand that built its myth on mountaineering and exploration. One detail you could not make up: even up there, nobody walks out of the lift with the watch of their choice. It is a waiting list, in the watchmaking sense of the term, exactly as everywhere else in the network. The only thing Rolex will really have made more accessible is the altitude.
